De aanleiding was de Internationale Matchingbeurs, georganiseerd door het Internationaal Netwerkbureau, een INTERREG-Project van de Euregio Rijn-Waal. Circa 30 Duitse en Nederlandse bedrijven deden hun best om studenten uit beide landen te werven. Ook het GrensInfoPunt Rijn-Waal was een populair aanspreekpunt voor de meest uiteenlopende vragen. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201eWaar moet ik op letten als ik een tijdje in Duitsland ga studeren?\u201d Dat was een van de vragen waarop Carola Schroer van het GrensInfoPunt Rijn-Waal het antwoord paraat had: \u201cJe hoeft er alleen maar op te letten dat je je in het buurland bij de gemeente inschrijft. Verder hebben veel studenten hier als bijbaan een zogeheten &#8218;Minijob&#8216;. Het voordeel daarvan ten opzichte van een bijbaan in Nederland is dat je in Duitsland geen premie hoeft af te dragen voor de zorg- of werkloosheidsverzekering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Veel bezoekers van de stands namen ook algemene informatie mee over het GrensInfoPunt Rijn-Waal, dat \u00e9\u00e9n keer per maand tijdens een groot spreekuur samen met zijn partners de grenspendelaars te woord staat en van maandag tot en met donderdag persoonlijk advies aanbiedt.
