Grensdata-portal<\/a>, dat in samenwerking met het Europese INTERREG-programma Duitsland-Nederland en Vlaanderen-Nederland is ontwikkeld, richt zich zowel op regeringen en bedrijven als ook op burgers en is voor iedereen vrij toegankelijk. Bedrijven kunnen bijvoorbeeld zien hoeveel personen een bepaalde beroepskwalificatie hebben aan de andere kant van de grens. Werkzoekenden kunnen zich ori\u00ebnteren welke bedrijven voor hen interessant zijn. Ook het aantal grensgangers is bekend.<\/p>\nDe website van het online-portal biedt instructies en korte informatievideo\u00b4s voor het gebruik van Grensdata. De website kent een Nederlands- en Duitstalige versie. Op het portal kunnen grafieken en tabellen gemaakt, aangepast en gedownload worden.<\/p>\n
De beschikbaarheid van deze grensoverschrijdende data is relevant voor de grensregio, om de ontwikkeling van de economische ruimte aan beide zijden van de grens vatbaar te maken. Daardoor kunnen kansen worden onderkend en benut, door onder andere het bewustzijn en de interesse bij werkgevers en werknemers te wekken.
