To better inform people living in Germany who work in the Netherlands, the GrenzInfoPunkte along the Dutch-German border are organising a free online seminar on the Dutch pension system.
In this online seminar, you’ll receive a clear explanation of the most important pension issues for cross-border workers and the implications of recent developments in the Dutch pension system.

Who is this online seminar aimed at?
This online seminar is specifically aimed at residents of Germany who work in the Netherlands and would like to gain a better understanding of their pension provision. Whether you’ve only just started working as a cross-border worker or have been working in the Netherlands for years, an understanding of your pension provision will help you look to the future with confidence.
What will you learn in this online seminar?
The webinar will cover the following topics, amongst others:
- Living in Germany, working in the Netherlands: How does pension accrual work if you live in Belgium but work in the Netherlands?
- The new pension system: What changes have been made to the Dutch pension system and what might these mean for your pension?
- Risk of death: What are the consequences of death for your surviving dependants, and what options are available for making provisions?
- Net pension insurance: What is net pension insurance and when might it be relevant to you?
Speaker: Steffi Troost
The online seminar will be led by Steffi Troost. Steffi Troost is a board member of the Dutch trade union FNV and a member of a pension board. Drawing on her extensive expertise and many years of experience, she will provide insights into current developments in the Dutch pension system and into issues of importance to cross-border workers.
