The age at which beneficiaries are entitled to an AOW (regular state pension) will be raised by three months to 67 years and three months in 2028.
Every year, the CBS (Statistics Netherlands) calculates the life expectancy of people in the Netherlands who reach the age of 65. It has now been determined that those currently aged 65 will have a life expectancy of 86.05 years (+21.05 years) in 2028. For this reason, the retirement age has been increased by three months and will thus be 67 years and three months in 2028.
Anyone born in 1961 or later will therefore be eligible for AOW at the age of 67 years and 3 months the earliest.
